The dispute over the successful Nespresso machines, the capsules (whether original or not) and the related patents by Nestle go unchanged. In addition to the invalidity proceedings existed or exist some patent infringement litigation with mixed results.

The background to this action are numerous legal disputes at home and abroad due to the violation of patents to the Nestec. S.A., to the top-selling manufacturers of capsule coffee machines and specially matched coffee capsules ("Nespresso") counts.
The patent was declared invalid.
